Celebrate your special occasions — from birthdays to retirement parties — with fresh baked custom cakes from our in-store bakery in Sooke
We use the finest ingredients in all of our made-from-scratch custom cakes, fillings and buttercream, plus the freshest, ripest fruits of our produce department.
We offer a Standard style and all other custom cakes are Premium style with special toppings, custom drawing and/or whipped cream. On both styles, we customize the text for you.
Standard Style
Our standard Birthday Cake style is a chocolate or white cake with your choice of fillings: Bavarian, chocolate fudge, lemon, cherry, raspberry or strawberry; covered in vanilla or chocolate buttercream; and can be finished with any combination of sprinkles, chocolate shavings, chocolate drizzle, cherries, or buttercream roses or balloons.

- We do not bake gluten or dairy free cakes, but we have options available in our Freezer Department (see our FAQ below).
- If you wish to customize your cake, we’ll be happy accommodate you. Substitutions available at extra cost.

FAQ
Do you offer gluten free or dairy free options?
At this time, we do not bake in-store gluten-free and dairy-free products. However, we do have some great options we bring in to meet this need, found in our Freezer Section:
- Gluten-free: Wendell’s True Foods black forest cakes and pecan caramel Turtle cheesecakes
- Gluten-free & Vegan (no dairy or eggs): Sweets From the Earth wild blueberry cheesecake, espresso cheesecake, and chocolate cake
How many letters/characters fit on top?
We can typically write 20-25 letters atop the 7″ round and 8″ square cakes (e.g. Happy Birthday plus a 10 letter name), 30 letters atop partial slab cakes and 40 letters atop full slab cakes.
What are your flavour options? Can I request a combination?
Our cake bases are chocolate or vanilla (white cake). Our fillings are Bavarian cream, lemon, chocolate fudge, cherry, raspberry or strawberry. And we have all the toppings mentioned above. Yes, any combination or substitution is available at extra cost. Please discuss details via phone.
