Inspired by family history, the maker’s great, great, grandfather Edward Bittermann was a merchant on the River Tyne in Newcastle, England. A hard working entrepreneur, Edward would row down the Tyne, out to the ships anchored and awaiting port, and sell them his goods. His legacy has inspired a deep appreciation for entrepreneurship, adventure, and an excellent drink.
