Our produce department finally has fresh BC grown blueberries available by the pound!
Highbush blueberries are cultivated across British Columbia, primarily in the Fraser Valley. Our province produces over 90% of Canada’s highbush blueberries and is one of the largest blueberry-producing regions in the world, with annual output exceeding 150 million pounds. The BC Blueberry Council represents and supports growers, packers, and other industry participants through research, market development, and industry coordination. The council works with government and research partners on areas such as plant health, production practices, and crop improvement to support long-term industry sustainability. With over 600 blueberry growers in the province, the industry is a significant contributor to agricultural production and exports from British Columbia.
