Just down the street from us, Vancouver Island Premium Hard Candy is handmade in small batches to ensure quality and freshness is delivered in each delicious morsel. Opened in 2018, passionate confectionery founders John & Cindy create a variety of flavours of hard candy and freeze dried candy.
VIP Hard Candy is formed in moulds for size consistency, cooled, wrapped and sealed in tins by weight, averaging 26 pieces each. This artisan process — NO robots, NO machines, just people with passion for great flavours — is what makes VIP Hard Candy so special.
Once reserved for astronauts, freeze drying technology is being applied to confectionery with their product line of VIP Freeze Dried Candy. Interesting flavour options such as Watermelon Crunch, Cherry Crunch, Skiddlez, Sponge Toffey and more have to be tasted to be believed! (My personal fave is the ice cream sammich.) Almost like magic, the exploded-looking pieces re-hydrate and melt in your mouth, coming back to life in a flavourful blast.
