Saputo Specialty Cheese Wedges

Imported from Italy, we now carry Saputo specialty cheese wedges of Pecorino Romano, Grana Padano and Parmigiano Reggiano.

In 1954, the Saputo family brought the tradition of Italian cheese-making to Canada. In those early years, young Lino Saputo delivered the handmade cheeses via bicycle! While the company has grown, it still maintains a strong artisan spirit with a focus on quality, specialty cheese.

You can find these Saputo’s specialty cheese wedges across from our Deli counter:

  • Pecorino Romano, made from sheep’s milk and aged for a minimum of 5 months, has a distinct, zesty taste.
  • Grana Padano, aged for a minimum of 12 months, has a mild/subtle savoury taste and is a delicious addition to pastas and sauces.
  • Parmigiano Reggiano, expertly aged for a minimum of 18 months, has a full-flavoured rich, fruity taste with a hint of hazelnut. Savour it on its own with a touch of quality balsamic vinegar or finely grated over pasta.
